We’re off to The Lunar Festival

Independent Country have been added to the bill of the 2018 Lunar Festival. We’re playing the Pink Moon Meadow stage on Sunday 29th July.

Here’s the Lunar Festival line-up announcement in full:

**LUNAR FESTIVAL 2018 LINE-UP ANNOUNCED!**

Many of you have been waiting a long time for this, especially since we took a year off in 2017! So, we’re very proud to reveal our 2018 line-up. Malian music legends Amadou & Mariam, electronic party pioneers Basement Jaxx, acclaimed cinematic pop duo Goldfrapp and legendary punk band The Stranglers (Official) headline the weekend – arguably our biggest line-up of artists yet, perfect for our fifth anniversary!

Don’t forget to check our the rest of the festival programme beyond the music – the weekend is absolutely jam-packed. Thanks to partnerships with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Space Centre and the Glee Club Birmingham, we offer a whole host of theatre, science and comedy workshops and shows.

General Sale Tickets go on sale THIS FRIDAY (23rd Feb) at 10am and are available from our website.

Next Friday we are throwing a launch party for our brewery for you to come down and try our home brewed 12 beers on tap, eat from our delicious kitchen serving home baked pizzas courtesy of Practise Pizzeria and sing and dance with live music courtesy of Killer Wave

As part of the full line up of 12 Dig Brew cask ales, IPAs and draught pales we have for the first time on draught:

WEBSTER, WEBSTER & COHEN

A deceptively easy drinking Double IPA with Wai-Iti, Belma and Citra dryhop… Subtle sweetness from a complex malt bill, overtaken by citrus and pineapple notes from a colossal dry hop!

Live music from Independent Country, a 6-piece band based in Birmingham. Playing country and western versions of songs by Happy Mondays, Blur, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Oasis, Teenage Fanclub and others. You’ll never of heard anything like this and you’ll be swinging your pint pot and the nearest partner.

Music going well into the night from Killer Wave soundsystem.
